There are several large patches of Japanese Hakone grass in the Rhododendron Forest of the ‘Merian Gardens’ in Basel. The leaves of most grass patches are striped. I photographed them from different angles and in all cases the pictures of the leaves generated highly ordered images. Dependent on the processing of these images I obtained realistic images of the leaves or abstract assemblages of green hues (or something in between).
Today’s picture originates from a photo of non-striped Japanese Hakone grass (variety ‘All Gold’). My prominent image processing generated an abstract picture which I like a lot.
