Vlieland’s lighthouse is located on top of the highest dune of the island, the Vuurboetsduin (42 m above sea level). The lighthouse itself is 18 meters tall. From the visitor platform one has a beautiful view over the island. In good weather one can also see Terschelling and Texel, Vlieland’s neighbouring islands.
