Today’s photo shows the thrill ride ‘Maxximum 2’ shortly before starting (left side of image) and a haunted castle (right side of the image).
The long arm of Maxximum 2 swings back and force a couple of times before it performs the first 360° loop, at this point in time at a still fairly moderate speed. It then picks up speed and rotates about 6 times at full speed around its axis. During the loops of the arm, the seats rotate around a horizontal axis in addition. Towards the end of the ride, the long arm swings back and forth another couple of times before it comes to a standstill.
Unloading of the riders and loading of new riders is a rapid affair and reminds me of the tire change at Formula One races.
