The orange tip is a butterfly in the species-rich family Pieridae. Common and widespread, this butterfly with a wingspan of 35 to 45 mm can be found in gardens and hedgerows.
The males of the orange tip are unmistakable. They are white butterflies with bright orange wingtips. The females are white with black wingtips. Both have a black spot and mottled green underwings.
