There are no roads to the Feldsee. The lake can only be accessed on foot or by bicycle. The nearest car parks are 3–4 km away. Around the Feldsee is a so-called ‘Bannwald’ which consists mainly of beech, fir, spruce and sycamore. This mixed forest is protected and is allowed to grow naturally. Bathing in the lake is not allowed.
