A Dutch barge (Tjalk) is a flat bottom boat, originally used for cargo carrying in the Netherlands, many of which have now been converted for pleasure or residential use. Originally, they were made of wood and powered by sail.

The rigging of a barge usually consists of a mast with several headsails and a large, trapezoidal gaff sail.
