There are more than 2,500 varieties of snowdrops. They vary in height from 7cm to 30 cm and are divided into approximately 20 species.
Snowdrops are peculiar for their ability to bloom in winter, thanks to natural antifreeze proteins and hardened leaf tips that pierce frozen soil.
