Crocus chrysanthus is a small, early-spring flowering corm-based perennial, 3 to 12 cm tall. It features 1 to 3 fragrant, cup-shaped flowers with six golden-yellow tepals and a deep orange throat.
Crocus chrysanthus has 3 to 8 narrow, linear leaves, typically developing along with the flowers. They feature a distinct silvery-white central stripe each.
I captured this beautiful golden crocus in my garden two days ago.
