A week ago, I hiked from Bärental (967 m) over the summit of Feldberg to Todtnauberg (1’150 m). Feldberg is with 1’493 m the highest mountain in the Black Forest.
Instead of taking a direct route to the top, I walked a circuit to a wild-romantic lake called ‘Feldsee’, which I like very much. It is situated at a height of 1’109 m and was formed during the ice age. The 33 m deep lake is almost circular and has a diameter of about 350 m. Dependent on the color of the sky and the foliage of the trees, it can take on a myriad of colors.
