Autofocus of your camera may struggle with foggy, low-contrast scenes. When this is the case, switch to manual focus and use the lens’ distance scale to focus on specific elements in the scenes.
A telephoto lens often leads to compression of the fog, making it appear denser. On the contrary, a wide-angle lens may emphasize the vastness of the foggy scenes. Thereby, it may also create more haunting images.
