Two days ago, I went hiking in the Swiss Jura Mountains on one of my favorite trails. I had chosen this day because the weather report had promised fog at lower elevations and high clouds above (and me in between). In addition, the autumn colors of the trees were almost at their best, promising exciting photo opportunities.
From Basel, where I live, to the trail head at the foot of Passwang Mountain (1’204 m) it took about an hour by public transport (tram / train / bus / cable car). Before starting the ascent, I took today’s photograph.
