At the Fog Line in the Swiss Jura (13)

Passwang is a mountain ridge in the Canton Solothurn. It has a length of 22 kilometers and runs west-to-east. Passwang has several peaks; the ‘Vogelberg’ is the highest with 1’204 meters above sea level.

Today’s image was taken from the trail up to Passwang ridge southeastwards. The mountains that poke out of the fog are part of the Swiss Jura. Behind them the Swiss Plateau (Mittelland) is laid out. On clear days the spectacular alpine panorama is lined up on the horizon.
