Our vacation house was only a ten-minute walk away from the North Sea beach. Thus, I watch the sunsets and the fading of the daylight almost every evening.
Not every sunset was a fiery orange. They varied wildly, dependent on cloud cover and atmospheric particles like dust, pollution, and water vapor, scattering sunlight differently. There were also evenings when it simply got dark without any fuss.
