Common Daisies (Bellis perennis) (3)

Daisies are common and widespread on mainland Europe and in many other parts of the world. During a super long flowering period the common daisy produces white petals with yellow centers on flower heads from February, right through summer to October.

Daisies flowers contain a multitude of two types of florets: The center is made of symmetrical yellow florets and the white ring contains another kind with elongated petal structures. The shape of daisies is the perfect landing pad for bees and butterflies.
