Mountain Cornflower (Cyanus montanus) (1)

The mountain cornflower is a deciduous perennial herb native to meadows and open woodlands in Western Europe. It typically has grey-green, lance-shaped leaves.

The plant grows 30 to 70 centimeters tall. It produces striking blue-purple flowers from May to August. Its outermost ray florets are particularly showy.
