Today’s photograph shows Bachalp Lake [Bachalpsee] located just below Mount Faulhorn at an elevation of 2‘265 m. Behind the lake the peaks of Wetterhorn (3’692 m), Schreckhorn (4’078 m) and Finsteraarhorn (4’274 m) are visible [from left to right].
In the valley right behind Bachalp Lake and a bit to the right the famous town of ‘Grindelwald’ is located. The glaciers and mountains above Grindelwald belong to a huge UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This morning, my family and I left for a two-week-vacation on the car-free Dutch Island of Vlieland. I will resume photobloging shortly after our return to Switzerland.
I wish you blithe fall days with great light and plenty of outstanding photo opportunities. And thanks, as always, for visiting my website.
Mit lieben Grüssen, Arnd
