Recently, my wife and I spent two weeks on the Dutch North Sea island of Vlieland. We like this place very much and visit it yearly for a long time.
We stayed in a vacation house located in the dunes close to the North Sea beach. The first vacation week we shared the house with our daughter and her family, the second week with friends.
We have never been on the island that late in the year. Most tourists visit Vlieland in the summer. Thus, during our beach walks in late autumn we often were alone.
